What Are Essential Oils
Are they magical potions or are they scientifically helpful?
Essential oils are the lifeblood of a plant. When plants are grown in the right conditions, harvested at the correct time, and distilled with the utmost care they can aid in keeping our bodies healthy, happy and well.
Essential oils are composed of tiny molecules that can pass through our tissues and directly into our cells. Our systems are super effective and can transport these molecules all over our bodies within a matter of minutes.
Believe it or not, some oils are cut with synthetic toxins that make oils cheaper and more fragrant. Companies sacrifice quality to cut costs. So again, do your research to find a company that you feel you can trust.
3 Ways to Use Essential Oils

Topically
You can apply essential oils directly to the skin. Most oils should be appleid with a fatty carrier oil to make them safe and to prevent them from evaporating.
Using oils on your feet is a quick and efficient way to get oils into your system.
You can also wear essential oils as perfume and to lift your mood.

Internally
Many essential oil companies promote and practice french aromatherapy which includes consuming essential oils internally. This is quite controversial, so I encourage you to do your own research and make a choice that works for you and your family.

Aromatically
Oils can also be inhaled directly from the bottle, or by using a diffuser. This is actually the quickest way for your body to use the oils. Breathing in essential oils directly affects the emotional control centre of your brain, your limbic system, and therefore, be a great tool to use to support you with big emotions.
When you diffuse essential oils your house will smell amazing too.
