We had a rough morning. It ended up with me cradling him like a baby and him falling asleep in my arms and lap. The steroids continued to wreak havoc 😞.
We managed to make it to the hospital for our appointment with plenty of time, and we got to see one of our favourite doctors before the appointment , which helped ease Lochlan’s nerves a little. Then we had a very patient and kind nurse who was so understanding and sympathetic to Lochlan’s worries, and fears.
They reassured me that the emotional turmoil is so normal for this phase of his treatment. “Induction” is so big and the steroid use is so prolonged that it really is a wild journey for 29 days (we’ve made it half way).
His blood pressure, temperature, and weight were all good (he gained a whole kilogram since last weigh in). They did blood work so please pray for good results before tomorrow’s chemo.
After the appointment brought us a picnic in the garden of the hospital again. The roses smelled so good, and a drizzle of rain was actually lovely.
The remainder of our day will be spent resting and prepping for chemo…. Drinking lots, castle oil packs, essential oils on liver, kidneys, adrenals and down the spine, and probiotics.
Tomorrow is a big day, and we need all the good vibes for the doctors’ blessing to go home. Thank you all, again, for the continued support, well wishes and prayers. They really are keeping us afloat.
