CASTING OFF

No work is complete until it is off the needles. We cannot just remove our needles or else all of our hard work will unravel. We must cast off. In most knitting patterns it will say "CO" to represent casting off.

Step 1

Begin by completing another 2 stitches (it could be knit or it could be purl depending on the pattern instructions). 

TIP: COMPLETE THESE STITCHES VERY LOOSELY!

Step 2

Using your left hand needle, pick up the first stitch you completed on your right needl.

Repeat

Repeat steps 1 -3 until you only have one stitch remaining on your right hand needle.

Final Step

Cut or break off the working yarn to separate it from the ball. And simply pull the yarn through the remaining loop.
